Adware is a way to display advertisements on your pc as a software program. Some ones ask you to install themselves onto our pc. Some terrible ones install themselves without our permission. It is annoying that adware can slow down our pc, and they can also obscure the information that we are trying to view.
There are several things you can do to remove and prevent adware.
1. Click "Start," then "All Programs," then "Windows Update."
2. Click on "Check for Updates." Windows will automatically check for updates. This may take several minutes.
3. Click on "Install Important Updates." Windows Important Updates include security updates that may remove certain adware and help fix problems associated with adware.
4. Download a free anti adware program, such as Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Anvi Smart Defender.
5. Run a “full scan” of your computer, using the anti-adware program. For example, in the main interface of Anvi Smart Defender, there has a "Full Scan" button. A full scan may take up to more than ten minutes, but will scan your entire computer and remove any adware that is found.
6. Restart your computer.

7. Turn on your Web browser's pop-up blocker to block windows that install adware onto your computer. To turn on the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer 8, click "Tools," then "Pop-up Blocker," then "Turn On Pop-up Blocker."
8. Avoid installing programs that include adware. Many free programs, particularly peer-to-peer file sharing programs, include adware. Check the manufacturer website to determine if the program includes adware before you install it. Keep in mind, however, that some programs are not upfront about adware that the program may contain.
9. Keep your anti-adware program up to date. Click an "Update" button when you want to update your program. It is also very lucky that some tools can automatically update every day. For instance, Anvi Smart Defender can update automatically every day. So you do not worry about the process of updating.
